E70/8RD engine

E70/8RD is a marine twin-shaft dual-fuel gas turbine engine for use in power plants and assemblies of ships, as well as for driving electric generators and gas compressors in marine and coastal industrial facilities of low and medium power.

The E70/8RD marine gas turbine engine was created by order of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Application

The E70/8RD engine is the basis of the gas turbine electric generator SGTG-8 with an electrical power of 8 MW for use in power plants of a wide range of ships, as well as thermal power plants of industrial and municipal facilities (including offshore and coastal).
